Senior Software Engineer - Global Forwarding Technology

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Global Forwarding Technology to join the team of a leader in the Transportation space.

This role will focus on building scalable software solutions that streamline global forwarding operations and improve how complex business processes are automated. The engineer will partner closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate operational needs into secure, maintainable, and high-impact technology solutions. There is also a strong emphasis on using AI-driven capabilities to reduce manual work, improve decision-making, and strengthen engineering practices across the organization.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $113,000 – $254,200 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of scalable software solutions that support automation in global forwarding operations.
• Translate complex business problems into effective technical solutions.
• Develop AI-driven applications that enhance decision-making and reduce manual tasks.
• Identify and apply advanced AI technologies to improve business workflows.
• Ensure security and maintainability throughout the software development process.
• Mentor junior engineers and help strengthen engineering practices across the organization.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to streamline operations and build cohesive solutions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience developing and implementing software solutions.
• Strong expertise in object-oriented programming, including C# and .NET.
• Experience designing distributed systems, APIs, and application integrations.
• Experience with relational databases such as MS SQL and Oracle, including optimization techniques.
• Familiarity with modern CI/CD practices and automated testing strategies.
• Strong communication skills for working across teams and technical levels.
