Senior Software Engineer (Go)

We are looking for a software engineer to join our Tel-Aviv office.

Ariga builds database infrastructure and developer tools. Our flagship product, Atlas, is an open-source schema-as-code platform for managing database schemas - design, migrations, and deployments - across all major database engines. On top of it we build Atlas Cloud, a commercial platform used by enterprise engineering teams to govern schema changes at scale. As AI agents write more of the world's code, Atlas is becoming the control plane between them and production databases. We also maintain Ent, a widely used open-source entity framework for Go.

Ariga is post-Series A with paying enterprise customers and a distributed team across four timezones. The office is at Migdal Hashachar, next to Rakevet Merkaz.

This role is great for you if:

• You love Go, open-source, and want to work on world-class open-source software
• You have a deep understanding of distributed systems, cloud development, and databases - this is the core of what we build, not a nice-to-have
• You care a lot about the quality of software engineering and want to work on serious technical problems

As a software engineer in the company, you will:

• Own engineering initiatives end-to-end: from problem definition and design, through implementation and testing, to shipping and supporting it in production
• Work on the core of Atlas - the schema engine, migration planning, database drivers, and the Cloud platform that enterprises rely on
• Work directly with customers on real problems and turn them into product
• Continuously improve the tooling and infrastructure we use to build products at Ariga

This role is a unique opportunity to build tools and infrastructure for developers in an open-source community as well as commercial products.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with a track record of owning significant systems in production
• Deep understanding of distributed systems and cloud development (must)
• Deep understanding of relational databases and data infrastructure (must)
• Experience building SaaS or enterprise-grade applications
• Academic background in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
