Senior Software Engineer (Hardware)

• As a Software Engineer, you’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining features to enhance customers’ day-to-day communication experience. You’ll work closely with customers and customer-facing teams to provide industry-leading calling workflows
• On this team, you’ll be participating in an effort to combine traditional hardware solutions with Dialpad’s cutting-edge cloud communication platform. You’ll be contributing directly to high-impact projects that drive critical business strategies
• This position reports to our Hardware Engineering Manager and is a hybrid role, with the opportunity to be based in our Vancouver office
• Develop and maintain software solutions and integrations that interface with VoIP devices, including IP phones, SIP adapters, ATA adapters, and DECT base stations
• Design and implement features and improvements for device management, provisioning, activation, and control in the UI
• Troubleshoot production/customer-related issues with devices
• Write and maintain comprehensive unit tests to ensure the robustness of the device integration management software
• Maintain code quality by reviewing peers’ code
• Collaborate with Product Management, Design, and cross-functional engineering teams to understand the requirements and translate them into technical specifications
• Work closely with QA throughout the entire lifecycle of a feature
• Work on self-development and continuous self-improvement to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies in the field
