About the Opportunity:

The SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER - INFRASTRUCTURE plays a critical role in defining and evolving cloud infrastructure and software systems that support the company’s commercial insurance platform. This position contributes by ensuring secure, scalable, and maintainable infrastructure and application code, driving continuous improvement in technology practices, and collaborating cross-functionally to meet organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

• Define and maintain AWS infrastructure as code using CDK
• Implement security and compliance practices for regulated environments
• Conduct peer code reviews for application and infrastructure changes
• Write clean and efficient code primarily in TypeScript, with some C# preferred
• Collaborate with product management, design, and engineering teams
• Participate in designing scalable, secure, and robust systems
• Deliver software via continuous delivery pipelines and assist in optimizing them
• Support operations by triaging and resolving production issues
• Develop modular and reusable code following industry standards
• Participate in on-call rotations to improve system stability and visibility
• Stay updated on engineering best practices and new technologies
• Utilize AI-powered development tools to enhance coding efficiency

Requirements:

• Proven expertise with AWS technologies and architecture
• Experience with AWS CDK in TypeScript
• Strong knowledge of network topology and IAM access controls
• Ability to deliver technical solutions independently across varied projects
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices, particularly using GitHub
• Backend and infrastructure software engineering skills with TypeScript (C# a plus)
• Proficiency in using AI coding assistants as part of development workflow

• Strong personal accountability for delivering high-quality, secure code

Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• Base compensation range $150,000—$185,000 USD
