Senior Software Engineer (Java)

What We're Looking For

• Engineering
• 4-6 years of experience building production-grade Java applications.
• Strong knowledge of Java, Spring Boot or Quarkus, REST APIs, and distributed systems.
• Experience debugging production issues and improving application reliability.
• Solid understanding of testing, clean code, performance optimization, and software design principles.
• APIs & Distributed Systems: Experience designing and maintaining REST APIs.
• Familiarity with microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka or similar messaging platforms.
• Understanding of API versioning, resilience patterns, and eventual consistency.
• Data & Cloud: Experience working with relational or NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (preferably GCP, AWS, or Azure), Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• AI-Assisted Engineering: Comfortable using AI coding assistants to improve development velocity while maintaining engineering standards.
• Communication: Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional engineering teams.

Nice to Have

• Experience with GraphQL or gRPC.
• Exposure to GCP services such as Spanner or BigQuery.
• Experience with OpenTelemetry, Sentry, or observability tools.
• Knowledge of MDM, healthcare, or regulated environments.
