Senior Software Engineer (Java / Spring Boot)

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design and development of scalable, high-performance enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot and microservices.
• Design and enhance REST APIs, distributed systems and complex system integrations.
• Drive database performance optimisation, including SQL query tuning and efficient data management.
• Ensure application stability, scalability and reliability across Kubernetes and cloud environments.
• Troubleshoot complex production incidents, system bottlenecks and performance issues in high-volume environments.
• Lead application modernisation, system improvements and cloud-native transformation initiatives.
• Establish engineering best practices, conduct architecture reviews and mentor development teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, production-ready solutions.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of software engineering experience, including strong system architecture and technical leadership.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices and distributed systems.
• Advanced PostgreSQL and/or Oracle SQL skills, including query optimisation, performance tuning and database administration.
• Proven experience deploying, operating and troubleshooting applications on Kubernetes and cloud platforms.
• Strong experience designing and delivering large-scale, production-grade applications, beyond proof-of-concept projects.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve complex production incidents, application performance issues and system failures.
• Experience with system integration, workflow orchestration and application modernisation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and technical leadership skills.

Added Advantages

• Experience in telecommunications, CRM, BSS/OSS, billing or order management systems.
• Experience with AWS, CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code.
• Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD) or AWS Solutions Architect certification.
