Senior Software Engineer - Machine Learning Platform

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Machine Learning Platform to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.

This role will focus on building and evolving the core machine learning platform that supports model development, deployment, and simulation at scale. You will work closely with data science, engineering, and other cross-functional partners to improve infrastructure, enable self-service workflows, and strengthen the reliability of production ML systems. The position calls for someone who can translate complex technical requirements into practical solutions that support business needs and scalable growth.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $166,900 – $230,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and enhance the machine learning and simulation platform
• Develop software applications that support dynamic business needs using machine learning models
• Create self-service tools for ML teams to enable independent model deployments
• Deliver data and feature infrastructure for machine learning models
• Design simulation systems that accurately reflect production environments and improve usability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and keep stakeholders informed and aligned
• Mentor fellow engineers and share knowledge on distributed systems and scalable architecture

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience
• Experience with backend software services and APIs
• Proficiency with distributed systems or large-scale data processing technologies such as Spark or Databricks
• Familiarity with machine learning production paths and platforms
• Proficiency in Python, Kotlin, Databricks, and AWS
• Demonstrated growth mindset and ability to learn new technologies
• Ability to translate complex technical requirements for diverse audiences
