Senior Software Engineer Microsoft Power Platform

Technical Skills:

Core skills (must have):

• Strong hands-on development with Power Apps: Canvas and model-driven apps, Power Fx, component libraries, performance optimisation, delegation.
• Strong hands-on Power Automate: cloud flows, expressions, connectors, error handling; desktop flows / RPA including attended and unattended runs.
• Dataverse development: data modelling, business rules, security roles, plug-ins or Power Fx low-code plug-ins.
• Application Lifecycle Management: managed and unmanaged solutions, solution layering, source control, automated deployment, Power Platform CLI.
• Integration and API development: REST, JSON, OAuth 2.0, custom connectors, on-premises data gateway.
• General programming skills including object orientation; practical use of JavaScript/TypeScript and/or C#, plus SQL.
• Debugging and diagnostics: Monitor tool, flow run history, Dataverse plug-in trace log, App Checker and Solution Checker.

Desirable and clearly weighted in your favour (agentic AI):

• Copilot Studio: building agents, topics, generative answers over knowledge sources, actions via connectors and flows, authentication, testing and monitoring.
• AI Builder model usage (form processing, prediction, text and document processing).
• A sensible view on how to make an agent give reliable answers: scoped knowledge, deterministic handling of critical intents, a known test question set, fallback to a human.

Working knowledge (desirable, will be developed):

• Power Platform Admin Center: environments, DLP policy effects on solutions, analytics, monitoring.
• Azure services as an extension point (Functions, Logic Apps, Key Vault).

A plus, not expected from every candidate:

• Power BI report and dataset development, DAX and Power Query.
• Microsoft Fabric exposure.

Years Experience & Knowledge: 35+ years of professional software development experience, of which at least 2 years hands-on with the Microsoft Power Platform.
