Senior Software Engineer - Open-Source Projects

HumanitApp is recruiting senior software engineers for an external AI research project. The work uses your open-source engineering experience on practical software-engineering assignments. The contracting client is external to HumanitApp; this is not employment with HumanitApp.

Who This Is For

• Engineers currently working at Senior, Staff or Principal level, or an equivalent senior individual-contributor level.

• Active open-source contributors with merged pull requests or commits within the past six months.

• Contributors or maintainers of projects with demonstrable adoption, such as 100 or more GitHub stars or clear package usage.

Engagement and Pay

• United States (remote), independent-contractor engagement.

• Advertised rate: USD 120 per hour. Final individual terms are confirmed by the provider.

• Flexible scheduling; no minimum hours or fixed project duration are stated in the current listing.

• Payments are weekly through Stripe or Wise for services performed.

• Project duration may be extended, reduced or ended based on project needs and performance.

• The provider currently cannot support H-1B or STEM OPT candidates.
