Senior Software Engineer, Platform Infrastructure (Remote)

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Platform Infrastructure (Remote) to join the team of a leader in the Food & Beverages space.

This role will focus on building and scaling the internal platform capabilities that enable engineering teams to move faster and operate more reliably. You will design resilient backend systems, APIs, and shared services that support critical business workflows across the organization. The position partners closely with product, security, and engineering stakeholders to turn complex requirements into practical, high-quality technical solutions.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $158,000 – $190,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Build internal developer platforms, shared services, APIs, and libraries for core capabilities
• Design reliable backend systems for cross-domain business flows and critical use cases
• Collaborate with product, security, and engineering teams to convert ambiguous problems into high-quality deliverables
• Own quality assurance through testing, observability, and production issue investigation
• Implement self-service solutions to enhance developer velocity and minimize manual effort

Qualifications

• 5+ years of strong software engineering experience building backend systems and APIs in production
• Experience in Go programming language
• Strong proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Service Mesh (Istio), Terraform, and CI/CD systems
• Familiarity with workflow orchestration and event-driven architectures
• Experience with observability tooling like Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana
• Track record of building shared platform capabilities used by multiple teams
