Senior Software Engineer - Production Support

We are proud of our engineering excellence and continuous innovation, and we’re now looking for a talented Senior Production Support Software Engineer to join our team. **The Role** This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced automation software engineer to play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the machinery that underpins our manufacturing processes. As a senior member of the team, you will take ownership of complex technical challenges, drive improvements in reliability and productivity, and actively mentor and develop those around you.

• Key Responsibilities**
• Programme and maintain PLC systems (Mitsubishi iQ-R)
• Develop and support robot programming (Mitsubishi)
• Configure and optimise vision systems (Keyence and Asyril)
• Work with automation equipment such as servo systems, RFID, and inverters
• Identify and implement improvements to increase machine reliability and throughput
• Lead fault-finding activities and resolve complex technical issues
• Provide training, coaching, and technical guidance to engineers across the team
• About You** You’ll be a highly skilled automation professional with a strong technical foundation and a passion for continuous improvement.

• Has proven experience in software programming methodologies
• Demonstrates strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Can work independently and take ownership of challenges
• Is confident mentoring and developing others
• Has excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Shows high attention to detail and a methodical approach
• Technical Experience**
• Hands-on experience with PLC programming (Mitsubishi iQ-R or equivalent)
• Robot programming experience (Mitsubishi or equivalent)
• Experience with HMI and vision systems (Keyence, Asyril or similar)
• Strong understanding of automation systems and integration
