Senior Software Engineer – Python/Elasticsearch

Role-Data Engineer

Location: Irving, TX — 3 days onsite per week .

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 7+ years of software engineering/data engineering experience.
• Strong Python development experience, especially backend services and scalable applications.
• Strong hands-on Elasticsearch experience in production environments — mandatory.
• Experience designing Elasticsearch indexes, mappings, queries, aggregations, and search relevance .
• Proven experience building REST APIs for enterprise applications.
• Strong experience with Databricks and large-scale data platforms.
• Experience building high-throughput data ingestion and indexing pipelines .
• Hands-on experience with Kafka and/or Azure Event Hub .
• Experience developing and deploying applications on Microsoft Azure .
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architecture .
• Experience with CI/CD, automated deployments, Git, and DevOps practices .
• Experience troubleshooting production systems, API performance, Elasticsearch performance, and scalability issues .
• Knowledge of monitoring, logging, observability, and application health .
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with engineering, architecture, product, and data teams.
