About the Job:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer – Guidewire PolicyCenter QA to support quality assurance activities across Guidewire PolicyCenter and InsuranceSuite applications. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in manual functional testing, Guidewire Cloud implementations or upgrades, and Guidewire automation testing. Strong knowledge of Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance, including Personal Lines and Commercial Lines, is mandatory.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with client QA teams and stakeholders to understand system requirements and ensure effective test coverage.
• Work with developers and offshore QA teams to identify system gaps and validate client requirements.
• Develop and execute test cases based on business requirements and system specifications.
• Test complex business rules, workflows, configurations, and integrations across Guidewire applications.
• Provide effort estimates for manual testing activities and support test planning.
• Perform manual functional testing for Guidewire Cloud implementation and upgrade projects.
• Validate PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ContactManager, and related InsuranceSuite integrations.
• Identify requirement gaps and assess differences between business requirements and out-of-the-box (OOTB) functionality.
• Follow Agile methodologies and established testing standards and best practices.
• Continuously improve testing processes, test coverage, and overall quality.
• Work effectively in an onsite-offshore delivery model and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Mentor junior QA team members and provide technical guidance when required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience in testing Guidewire PolicyCenter configuration and InsuranceSuite applications, including PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ContactManager integrations.
• Strong understanding of P&C insurance, including Personal Lines and Commercial Lines. P&C domain experience is mandatory.
• Hands-on experience with Guidewire Cloud implementation or upgrade projects.
• Experience in manual functional testing of Guidewire applications and integrations.
• Experience in Guidewire automation testing, preferably using the Guidewire GT UI Framework.
• Working knowledge of Guidewire BillingCenter.
• Ability to assess requirement gaps and validate out-of-the-box functionality.
• Understanding of testing standards, best practices, and continuous delivery environments.
• Experience working with test management tools such as HP ALM, Jira, Azure DevOps (ADO), Rally, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and onsite-offshore delivery models.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with client stakeholders and distributed teams.
• Guidewire Analyst Associate certification.

Good To Have:

• Experience with non-functional testing in continuous delivery environments.
• Hands-on knowledge of additional Guidewire InsuranceSuite applications.
• Relevant ISTQB or Agile certifications.
