Senior Software Engineering Manager, Financial Reporting

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineering Manager, Financial Reporting to join the team of a leader in the Retail & Consumer Goods space.

This role will guide the strategy, architecture, and delivery of finance technology solutions that support financial reporting, planning, forecasting, and transformation across a large enterprise environment. You will lead distributed teams, partner closely with Finance and technical stakeholders, and help shape solutions that improve reporting accuracy, operational discipline, and decision support. The position also plays a key role in modernizing core finance platforms and ensuring stable, compliant production support.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $170,000 – $280,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor teams of managers and individual contributors, with responsibility for performance management and succession planning.
• Own the architecture, design, and support of finance solutions, including legacy-to-modern ERP transformation.
• Deliver planning and forecasting solutions using OneStream and Clarity PPM, integrated with SAP applications.
• Provide financial reporting and analytics using SAP Datasphere and Google BigQuery.
• Deliver Record to Report solutions using SAP S/4 and ECC, including general ledger and consolidation.
• Collaborate with Finance and technical teams to translate business goals into actionable solutions.
• Establish consistent delivery practices, including SOX controls and production support.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in IT analyst or consulting roles, with 5-7 years managing distributed teams.
• 7+ years of hands-on SAP experience, including S/4, ECC, and BW4HANA.
• Strong knowledge of SAP FI/CO, Asset Accounting, and Project Systems.
• Experience with SAP S/4 Group Reporting and BlackLine integration.
• Proven ability to lead complex financial implementations with at least 4 full cycles.
