Senior Software Quality Engineer

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Quality Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space.

In this role, you will help ensure the quality, accuracy, and reliability of software and data processing workflows that support healthcare-related operations. You will work closely with cross-functional partners to define test strategies, validate specifications, and identify defects that could affect downstream outcomes. The role also includes mentoring Quality Engineers and contributing to Agile planning and execution.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $106,000 – $145,750 annually

Responsibilities

• Analyze large datasets, including healthcare claims data
• Develop test cases aligned with specifications and clinical content definitions
• Execute and analyze test cases, identify abnormalities, and report defects
• Automate test case creation and result analysis using various frameworks
• Conduct quality reviews of definition manuals
• Mentor and lead a team of Quality Engineers
• Participate in Agile scrum sessions to estimate tasks and outline test strategies

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in the software industry with a degree
• 9+ years of experience in the software industry without a degree
• 5 years of experience creating software quality and/or data processing tests
• Experience testing applications with Java, SQL, and JSON technologies
• 3 years of experience in test automation
