Senior Software Tester

SOFTWARE TESTER — WEB & MOBILE APPLICATIONS

THE ROLE

You are the last check before our software reaches the customer. You test web and mobile apps, find what is broken, write clear bug reports and confirm the fix. If a bug reaches a live user that you could have caught, that is this role's gap to close.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Read the requirement and write test cases before testing starts

• Test web and mobile app features, screen by screen, on different devices and browsers

• Test APIs using Postman and check that the data shown on screen matches the data in the backend

• Check payments, credits, login, signup and user roles carefully, as money and access errors are the costliest

• Report every bug with clear steps, screenshot or screen recording, expected result and actual result

• Retest each fix, and test again that nearby features did not break (regression testing)

• Do a final check before every release and tell the team clearly if it is safe to go live or not

• Keep a simple record of test cases, bugs found, bugs fixed and bugs pending

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• 1–3 years in manual software testing of web or mobile applications

• Good knowledge of test case writing, bug life cycle and regression testing

• Hands-on with Postman for API testing

• Has used a bug tracking tool (Jira, Trello, ClickUp or similar)

• Basic understanding of databases, able to read data using simple SQL queries

• Clear written English, so developers can understand your bug reports without asking again

• Patient and detail-focused, can repeat the same test many times without missing a step

• Can work with developers calmly, even when a bug is disputed

BONUS POINTS

• Experience testing Flutter or Android/iOS apps

• Experience testing SaaS, CRM or payment-based products

• Basic knowledge of browser developer tools (network tab, console)

• Basic automation knowledge (Selenium, Cypress or Playwright)

• Experience testing on slow networks and different screen sizes

WHAT THIS ROLE IS NOT

• Not only clicking around randomly: every test is planned and recorded

• Not a role where "it works on my phone" is enough

• Not a developer role, but you must understand how the app works behind the screen

• Not a job where bugs can be reported later: reports go out the same day
