Viettel High Tech is looking for experienced Software/System Engineers working on distributed systems, high-performance computing, system programming and networking .

A key focus for this role:

• 7+ years of software/system development experience , or
• PhD/Doctorate in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems or related technical fields.

What you will work on

• Design and develop high-throughput, low-latency systems for large-scale real-time data processing.
• Build data processing, filtering and routing components with demanding performance requirements.
• Optimize software and hardware utilization through profiling, performance tuning and system optimization .
• Work on memory management, CPU utilization, data structures and concurrency .
• Develop and integrate high-performance networking components.
• Solve problems related to Linux system programming, networking, routing, switching, QoS and packet processing .

Technical background

• Strong programming skills in at least one of: C/C++, Go, Java or Erlang
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and high-performance systems
• Good knowledge of Linux/system programming and networking
• Experience with memory management, concurrency, CPU optimization and performance tuning
• Experience with DPDK, VPP, XDP, eBPF, Linux Kernel networking or packet processing is a plus

5G experience is not required. The role is primarily focused on transferable expertise in systems, performance and networking .

Project focus

You will contribute to the development of User Plane Function (UPF) within a 5G Core architecture, with a strong focus on:

• High-speed real-time data processing
• High-throughput, low-latency data path optimization
• Packet inspection, filtering and routing
• CPU, memory, cache and hardware performance optimization
• Modern networking and high-speed NIC technologies

This role may be a strong fit for engineers coming from Distributed Systems, High-Performance Computing, System Programming, Linux, Networking, Packet Processing or related system-level backgrounds .
