Senior Solution Engineer – Java

Job Summary

We are looking for a hands-on Senior Solution Engineer – Java with strong experience in AWS, Snowflake, software engineering, data platforms, and AI-enabled solutions.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, deploying, and operating production-grade cloud-native solutions. This role requires strong Java development skills combined with practical AWS and Snowflake expertise, along with a strong engineering mindset and experience supporting enterprise production environments.

Experience

• 7+ years of professional experience in Software Engineering, Solution Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related technical role.
• Strong experience delivering production-grade enterprise applications, data products, cloud services, or AI-enabled solutions.
• Hands-on experience across the complete software development lifecycle.

Key ResponsibilitiesSolution & Software Engineering

• Design, develop, deploy, and operate production-grade software and data solutions end-to-end.
• Translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable technical solutions.
• Develop clean, modular, reusable, and testable code using strong software engineering principles.
• Participate in architecture, design reviews, code reviews, pair programming, and technical discussions.
• Perform debugging, performance tuning, root-cause analysis, and production issue resolution.

Java Development

• Develop enterprise applications and cloud-native services using Java.
• Apply strong knowledge of object-oriented programming, design patterns, APIs, dependency management, packaging, and automated testing.
• Build maintainable and scalable applications following engineering best practices.
• Develop and integrate REST APIs and cloud-based services.

AWS Cloud

• Design and implement secure, scalable cloud-native solutions using AWS.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services covering:
• Compute
• Storage
• Networking
• IAM and Security
• Serverless
• Event-driven architectures
• Monitoring and Observability
• Orchestration
• Implement cloud automation and integrations using appropriate AWS services.
• Apply cloud security, governance, reliability, and cost-conscious engineering practices.

Snowflake & Data Engineering

• Design and implement scalable data pipelines and data products using AWS and Snowflake.
• Work with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data sources.
• Design, model, curate, and optimize Snowflake datasets, schemas, and data structures.
• Ensure data quality, performance, consistency, governance, and usability.
• Support downstream analytics, reporting, and AI/ML use cases.

AI & Generative AI

• Work with AI-enabled and data-driven solutions where applicable.
• Experience with Amazon Bedrock and other AWS AI services is preferred.
• Familiarity with:

• Model evaluation

• Integrate AI capabilities into enterprise applications and data solutions.

AI-Assisted Engineering

• Use AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor, or similar tools as part of everyday engineering work.
• Use AI tools for coding, refactoring, testing, debugging, documentation, and solution exploration.
• Apply appropriate engineering judgement to validate AI-generated output and maintain code quality.
• Familiarity with harness engineering or similar AI-assisted development approaches is preferred.

DevOps & Production Operations

• Follow Git-based development and CI/CD practices.
• Work with automated testing, DevOps practices, infrastructure-as-code concepts, and deployment automation.
• Own deployment, release, monitoring, and production support activities.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform RCA and performance optimization.
• Build observability and operational controls into production solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning, or a related technical field.
• 7+ years of hands-on professional experience in software, solution, or data engineering.
• Proven experience delivering and operating enterprise production systems.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Ability to translate ambiguous business problems into clear technical requirements and delivery plans.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and technical communication skills.
• Experience working with sensitive or confidential enterprise data.
• Ability to collaborate with business, technology, security, governance, and risk teams.

Preferred Industry Experience

Experience in the financial services industry is an advantage, particularly exposure to:

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a hands-on senior engineer who can independently take ownership of a solution from architecture and development through deployment and production operations.

The candidate should combine strong Java development fundamentals with deep practical experience in AWS and Snowflake, while also having an interest in modern AI-assisted engineering and cloud-native solution development.

Pay: Up to ₹1,680,000.00 per year

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Mumbai, Maharashtra
