Senior Solution Engineer- SLED Southeast

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Solution Engineer- SLED Southeast to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will partner closely with the public sector sales organization to guide complex opportunities from discovery through close. The ideal candidate will translate State, Local Government, and Higher Education needs into clear technical solutions while serving as a trusted advisor to customers, partners, and internal stakeholders. This position will also support regional market engagement, enable channel teams, and help improve the overall customer lifecycle experience.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $146,000 – $224,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the SLED sales team from discovery through deal closure
• Lead initial discovery meetings and deliver platform demonstrations
• Translate public sector challenges into technical solutions
• Serve as a technical expert during SLED sales engagements
• Partner with field engineering to support an effective customer experience
• Address customer needs through strong communication skills
• Build and maintain relationships with SLED customers and partners
• Participate in regional and national SLED marketing events
• Enable sales and channel partners through training
• Work across teams to improve SLED customer lifecycle efficiency
• Travel 40% to 60% to engage with customers and prospects

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in endpoint operations or security
• 4+ years of experience in customer-facing roles
• Experience in software pre-sales for large enterprises or the public sector
• Proven success working with State, Local Government, or Higher Education
• Experience presenting to C-Suite leaders and front-line users
• Familiarity with public sector procurement processes
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks relevant to SLED
• Hands-on experience in Endpoint Security, IT Operations Management, or Regulatory Compliance
• Broad knowledge of IT security and operations
• Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
• BS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent experience
