Senior Solution Specialist - VMware

Sofia, Bulgaria | Hybrid - 3 days per week onsite

Amaris Consulting is looking for a Senior Solution Specialist - VMware to shape and support enterprise virtualization platforms in a global environment.

In this role, you will combine architecture and technical leadership with hands-on implementation, optimization and advanced support. You will work with international teams, vendors and partners to deliver secure, resilient and scalable infrastructure.

Your responsibilities

• Define the architecture, technical standards and technology roadmap for enterprise VMware platforms.
• Act as the technical reference for virtualization solutions across global teams.
• Plan and deliver platform implementations, upgrades, migrations and modernization initiatives.
• Manage the full solution lifecycle, from deployment and operation to optimization and decommissioning.
• Ensure platform availability, performance, capacity, resilience and security.
• Provide expert support for critical incidents and complex technical problems.
• Define and monitor operational metrics, performance indicators and service levels.
• Lead technical workstreams and coordinate infrastructure teams, vendors and partners.
• Drive infrastructure automation, standardization and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with corporate governance and information security requirements.

Your profile

• Fluent English.
• Availability to work onsite in Sofia 3 days per week.
• At least 7 years of professional experience with enterprise VMware solutions.
• Strong experience in the architecture, implementation and support of virtualization platforms.
• Advanced hands-on knowledge of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 9.x or higher, VMware vSphere 8.x and VMware vSAN.
• Hands-on experience with VMware vCloud Director and VMware Aria Suite.
• Strong understanding of data center infrastructure and VMware license management.
• Experience managing capacity, availability and performance in business-critical environments.
• Experience providing technical leadership on infrastructure or technology transformation projects.
• Experience working in multinational environments and collaborating with distributed teams.
• Knowledge of ITIL governance and service management processes.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and stakeholder communication skills.

• Microsoft Azure and integration between VMware and Azure environments.
• Microsoft Hyper-V.
• Disaster recovery and business continuity experience.
• PowerShell and infrastructure automation.
• HPE and Dell storage solutions.
• ITIL certification.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including Scrum or SAFe.
• Exposure to Industry 4.0 environments.
• Spanish language skills.
