Senior Solutions Engineer

About the role

The Senior Solutions Engineer is responsible for providing end-to-end technical expertise in designing, deploying, and supporting Synetcom Philippines' Cisco-based infrastructure solutions and its complementing technologies. The role supports both pre-sales and post-sales engagements by assisting the sales team in designing tailored solutions, conducting proof-of-concepts (POCs), ensuring successful solution deployment and support services, and delivering knowledge transfer.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the sales team to provide technical consultancy during pre-sales activities
• Assess customer requirements, business needs, existing environments, and technical challenges to design and recommend appropriate network and IT infrastructure solutions
• Design network infrastructure and solution architectures for customers, including preparation of Bills of Materials (BOM) and Bills of Quantities (BOQ)
• Prepare and deliver technical proposals, presentations, demonstrations, bidding documents, RFP/RFI responses, and other solution documentation
• Conduct Proof of Concept (POC), pre-sales, implementation, and post-implementation technical presentations and meetings
• Lead and execute solution implementation, deployment, integration, configuration, migration, testing, and optimization activities according to project schedules
• Deliver professional services, technical training, and knowledge transfer to customers, partners, and internal teams
• Provide Level 3 technical support, troubleshooting, incident resolution, and post-deployment support
• Monitor and optimize deployed solutions, including routing, Quality of Service (QoS), application-aware traffic steering, performance, security, scalability, and overall system reliability
• Evaluate, test, and validate new products, technologies, and solutions, and recommend their adoption to support business growth and continuous improvement

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 10 years of experience working with network infrastructure in a Telco, ISP, Data Center, or POP environment
• CCNP certification or higher is required or equivalent industry certifications
• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco routers and switches
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, Ethernet, VLANs, subnetting, Layer 2/Layer 3 networking, and routing
• Experience troubleshooting network incidents in a production environment
• Experience with MPLS, BGP, OSPF, VRF, QoS, and carrier-grade networks
• Experience working in ISP/Telco POPs and backbone networks
• Knowledge of high-availability network designs and redundancy technologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
