Senior sourcing Engineer

Drive sourcing strategies and supplier performance for VSS OFM and service-dedicated parts managed by KR Distribution Center, ensuring long-term supply continuity, business continuity, cost competitiveness, and service excellence throughout the product lifecycle.

Lead sourcing, resourcing, supplier transitions, commercial negotiations, and lifecycle management initiatives to support customer satisfaction and achieve the operational and financial objectives of the VSS service business.

• Own sourcing strategies and activities for VSS OFM and VSS -dedicated parts /VSS relevant business throughout the product lifecycle , ensuring long-term supply continuity, business continuity, and cost competitiveness.

• Identify and mitigate lifecycle, supplier, capacity, and geopolitical risks impacting part availability

• Develop contingency plans and corrective actions to prevent supply disruptions and support business continuity.

• Identify and implement cost reduction, cost avoidance, and value improvement opportunities.

• Manage and execute sourcing actions related to NPI, OFM, EOL, engineering changes, and supplier-driven changes.

• Balance service level, inventory, and cost objectives when developing lifecycle sourcing strategies.

• Develop business cases and recommendations supporting sourcing and lifecycle management decisions.

• Lead Last Time Buy (LTB), resourcing, alternative source development, and supplier transition activities.

• Partner with the Supply Chain Strategy lead, PC and category managers to deploy sourcing strategies and ensure effective execution across the service supply chain network.

• Engage/ lead commercial negotiation or supply contact which can accoodate VSS business needs and strategy. Responsible for Distribution Center suppliers’ performance improvement and monitor with regards to Cost, and Delivery .

Education Level:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field preferred

Relevant Previous Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain, Supplier Development, or Operations
• Proven track record in supplier management, supply continuity, and cost improvement initiatives Experience managing lifecycle sourcing activities including OFM, EOL, LTB, resourcing, or supplier transitions

  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across Product Companies, Distribution Centers, and suppliers
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop business cases and sourcing recommendations
  • Engineering background with the ability to understand technical and product lifecycle requirements
  • Project management skills with the ability to lead sourcing and continuity initiatives Proficient ERP (SAP) user
