Senior Specialist, IT Applications

Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior IT Applications Specialist to lead the design, development, and support of enterprise integration and automation solutions. This role plays a critical part in enabling and optimizing Order-to-Cash (O2C) business processes through system integrations, API development, EDI transactions, and workflow automation.

The successful candidate will serve as a key technical contributor responsible for connecting ERP systems, trading partners, cloud applications, and enterprise platforms, primarily leveraging Dell Boomi and related integration technologies. Experience with low-code platforms and robotic process automation (RPA), particularly UiPath, is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Enterprise Integration Development

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise integrations
• Develop scalable and reusable integration solutions connecting ERP systems, cloud applications, SaaS platforms, databases, trading partners, and third-party services.
• Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective integration solutions.
• Create and maintain technical design documentation, deployment procedures, and support documentation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production integration issues and perform root cause analysis.

2. API & Web Services Development

• Design, build, and support enterprise APIs and web services.

• Develop integrations utilizing:

  • RESTful APIs
  • SOAP Web Services
  • XML
  • JSON
  • CSV / Flat File Processing

• Implement secure integration patterns including API authentication, authorization, and data protection standards.

3. ERP & Business Process Integration

• Support integration initiatives involving ERP and enterprise business applications.

• Collaborate with business analsyst to understand and optimize business processes.

• Demonstrate strong understanding of Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes including:

  • Customer Purchase Order Management
  • Advanced Ship Notices (ASN)
  • Invoicing
  • Customer Billing
  • Payment Processing

• Support integration requirements across supply chain, logistics, finance, and customer operations.

4. EDI & B2B Integration

• Develop and support B2B integrations utilizing X12 EDI standards.

• Work with common transaction sets including:

  • 850 Purchase Orders
  • 855 Purchase Order Acknowledgments
  • 856 Advance Ship Notices
  • 810 Invoices
  • 997 Functional Acknowledgments

• Support AS2, SFTP, and other B2B communication protocols.

• Troubleshoot EDI mapping, transformation, and trading partner connectivity issues.

5. Low-Code & SaaS Platform Support

• Support, enhance, and integrate low-code and SaaS business applications.
• Collaborate with business users and application owners to deliver scalable business solutions.
• Participate in solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and support activities.

Platforms may include:

• UiPath Apps
• Microsoft Power Platform
• OutSystems
• Smartsheet
• Other enterprise SaaS and low-code platforms

6. UiPath Automation

• Design, develop, and support automation solutions using UiPath.
• Collaborate with business users to identify process automation opportunities.
• Maintain, enhance, and monitor existing robotic process automation (RPA) solutions.
• Participate in automation architecture and process improvement initiatives.

7. DevOps & Agile Delivery

• Participate in Agile development methodologies including sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives.
• Utilize Azure DevOps and Git for source control, release management, and work tracking.
• Support CI/CD deployment processes and DevOps best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and promote development standards and governance.

8. Technical Leadership

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and team members.
• Participate in architecture reviews and solution design discussions.
• Recommend process, platform, and integration improvements.
• Promote best practices for integration, automation, security, and software development.

Required Technical Skills:

• Experience with enterprise integration platforms, preferably Dell Boomi, as well as Azure Logic Apps, Workato, MuleSoft, or equivalent iPaaS solutions.
• Strong expertise in integration technologies including REST APIs, SOAP, XML, JSON, XSLT, and file-based integrations.
• Hands-on experience with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and B2B integration concepts, including X12 transaction sets, AS2 and SFTP.
• Proficiency in SQL, stored procedures, relational databases, and Python development.
• Experience with low-code and automation platforms such as UiPath, OutSystems, and Microsoft Power Platform.
• Knowledge of DevOps tools and methodologies, including Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD, and Agile/Scrum practices.
• Understanding of ERP systems, SaaS application integration, and Order-to-Cash business processes.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Minimum 8 years of relevant IT experience, including:

  • 5+ years in enterprise integration development
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Dell Boomi or a comparable integration platform

• Proven experience supporting mission-critical enterprise applications and integrations.

• Experience working within Agile software development environments.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.

• Strong documentation, organizational, and quality management skills.

• Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

• Continuous improvement mindset with strong attention to detail.

• Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken.

• Willingness to support US-based operations and participate in regular meetings during overlapping US business hours.
