Senior Specialist Petrophysicist

The Yangi Kon Exploration Team is expanding! We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Specialist Petrophysicist to provide petrophysical expertise for exploration, appraisal and development evaluation, with a focus on sandstone, carbonate and tight-gas reservoirs. You will work with both Russian and international logging datasets.

Key requirements and expertise

• Experience: 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Software: Techlog, Geolog, or equivalent petrophysical interpretation software.
• Core processing: Process, quality-control and interpret conventional and advanced logs using multi-mineral and ELAN workflows. Provide geomechanical earth modelling, inputs to the exploration team for Play Fairway and CRS mapping, reservoir modelling and reserves assessments, and technical support to drilling, completion, testing and production teams.
• Advanced techniques: NMR, borehole imaging, dipole sonic, formation testing and production logging, integrating core, well-test, pressure and production data.
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology.
• Languages: English proficiency is required; Russian is an advantage.
