What they need

We are a team of marketing strategists, digital innovators, life science leaders, and other professionals who are driving growth, pushing the envelope, and going above and beyond on behalf of our clients every day.

PharmaForceIQ is a real-time customer engagement platform built specifically for life sciences. We empower leaders across functions and brands with a faster, more effective way to engage healthcare professionals and patients. By streamlining real-time optichannel execution, leveraging AI, and focusing on measurable impact, we are driving a paradigm shift from sluggish, siloed customer engagement efforts to agile, data-driven strategies that deliver unmatched efficiency and tangible results.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a hands-on Senior SRE / DevOps Engineer to design, operate, secure, and continuously improve highly available cloud platforms and delivery systems. The role combines production engineering, cloud operations, Kubernetes platform ownership, CI/CD automation, observability, incident management, and security operations. The successful candidate will own reliability outcomes across application and infrastructure services, reduce operational toil through automation, guide engineering teams on production readiness, and provide expert support for AWS and Amazon EKS. This is a senior individual-contributor role requiring strong technical judgment, disciplined operational practices, and the ability to lead during high-severity incidents.

  • Key Responsibilities:

Source Control & CI/CD Engineering

  • Administer Bitbucket and GitLab repos, branching strategies, merge controls, and
    release governance.

  • Design and maintain Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD pipelines with reusable templates,
shared libraries, and environment promotion models.

  • Integrate code-quality, security, container, and secret scanning into pipelines; eliminate
plaintext secrets via approved secret-management platforms.

  • Enable safe deployment strategies (rolling, blue-green, canary) with automated
rollback; troubleshoot pipeline, runner, webhook, and dependency failures.

Cloud Operations & AWS Platform Management

  • Own cloud environments end-to-end across dev, test, staging, and production:   provisioning, patching, backup, recovery, and lifecycle management.

  • Operate core AWS services (EC2, Auto Scaling, VPC, ELB, Lambda, Route 53, S3, EBS, IAM, KMS, RDS, EMR, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Systems Manager) and design resilient multi-AZ network/compute patterns.

  • Implement infrastructure as code via Terraform with a peer review, drift detection, and
    reusable modules.

  • Define and test backup, DR, and HA procedures with documented RTO/RPO; manage tagging, cost optimization, and patching cycles.

Containers, Docker & Amazon EKS

  • Lead secure, optimized application Dockerization: multi-stage builds, minimal base images, non-root execution, registry practices.

  • Design, provision, upgrade, and support production-grade EKS clusters, managed node groups, networking, ingress, and add-on lifecycle.

  • Operate Kubernetes workloads (Deployments, Stateful Sets, Services, Ingress, Jobs, PodDisruptionBudgets) and deploy via Helm and GitOps.

  • Implement EKS security controls (RBAC, IAM Roles for Service Accounts, network policies, least privilege); troubleshoot scheduling, networking, and autoscaling issues.

Logging, Monitoring & Observability

  • Engineer centralized log management using Splunk and/or Datadog: collection, parsing, retention, dashboards, and alerting.

  • Deploy and maintain Prometheus, Grafana, and Alertmanager for platform and application monitoring.

  • Define SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and availability targets; build role-specific dashboards for execs, ops, and engineers.

  • Tune alerts to be actionable and severity-based, reducing noise; ensure every critical alert has an owner and runbook.

Reliability & Production Operations

  • Participate in and improve the escalation paths.

  • Lead major-incident response (triage, stabilization, communication, recovery) and  drive blameless post-incident reviews.

  • Maintain runbooks, SOPs, dependency maps, and production-readiness checklists; automate repetitive tasks via Python, Bash, and APIs.

  • Perform capacity planning, resilience testing, and mentor engineers in troubleshooting and reliability practices.

Security Operations & Vulnerability Management

  • Own vulnerability-management workflows across OS, containers, dependencies, cloud, Kubernetes, and CI/CD components.

  • Coordinate VAPT: validate findings, assess impact, assign remediation owners, track SLAs, and provide closure evidence.

  • Integrate SAST, DAST, dependency, container, IaC, and secret scanning into pipelines; apply hardening baselines.

  • Support IAM reviews, key/certificate rotation, privileged-access controls, audit logging, and compliance/risk reporting.

  • Qualifications:

  • 10–12+ years in DevOps, SRE, cloud, platform, or production operations engineering, with 3+ years in a senior/lead capacity.

  • Demonstrated production ownership on AWS: EC2, VPC, load balancers, S3, RDS, EMR, CloudWatch, IAM.

  • Deep hands-on experience with Git, Bitbucket, GitLab, Jenkins, and GitLab CI/CD, including pipeline design, troubleshooting, and governance.

  • Expert-level Docker and Kubernetes experience, including building, operating, and upgrading Amazon EKS clusters and workloads.

  • Hands-on experience with Splunk, and Monitoring with Prometheus, Grafana, and Alert manager.

  • Practical infrastructure-as-code experience (Terraform, Helm) and strong Python/Bash automation skills.

  • Solid understanding of Linux administration, TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, HTTP, load balancing, IAM, storage, and distributed systems.

  • Experience with incident management, RCA, post-incident reviews, SLOs, capacity planning, and backup/recovery.

  • Experience managing vulnerabilities and VAPT findings and implementing security controls across cloud, container, OS, and delivery platforms.

  • Clear written and verbal communication, and calm decision-making under pressure across engineering, security, and business teams.

Why Join Us?

  • Enjoy the flexibility of a fully remote work environment.
  • Competitive base salary (2.5 INR - 3.5 INR). Actual base pay will depend on varying circumstances, including the position, location, individual qualifications, market finances, and other operational business needs.
  • Comprehensive health and wellness benefits package.
  • A collaborative and growing workforce.
