Senior Staff Engineer- iOS

Requirements

• Lead the design, development, and evolution of large-scale iOS applications and platform capabilities.
• Serve as the technical expert for iOS architecture, mobile frameworks, performance, security, and reliability.
• Drive technical strategy and influence engineering decisions across multiple teams.
• Lead complex projects with moderate to high risk and cross-functional dependencies.
• Identify and resolve system-level issues, proactively addressing root causes and preventing recurrence.
• Own service health, operational excellence, and incident management across multiple products or teams.
• Review and approve high-level architecture and design decisions.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across teams.
• Partner with Product, UX, Platform, and Engineering leaders to deliver business outcomes.
• Act as a trusted advisor for mobile engineering best practices and innovation.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in iOS development using Swift and modern iOS frameworks.
• Deep knowledge of mobile architecture patterns, APIs, security, performance optimisation, and application lifecycle management.
• Proven ability to solve complex technical problems and deliver innovative solutions.
• Experience leading large-scale engineering initiatives across multiple teams.
• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, CI/CD, testing, observability, and operational excellence.
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated mentorship and technical leadership experience
• Influences decisions across teams and value streams.
• Leads major programmes and technical initiatives.
• Develops and improves engineering processes, practices, and standards.
