Senior Staff SW Systems Engineer - Mobile Apps

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Staff SW Systems Engineer - Mobile Apps to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space.

This role will serve as a systems engineering architect for a connected healthcare ecosystem, helping shape architecture and design decisions for software-enabled products. You will partner closely with product, engineering, and cross-functional stakeholders to define requirements, interfaces, workflows, and risk controls that support safe and effective product performance. The position also plays a key role in driving alignment across concurrent launches while balancing technical, regulatory, and business priorities.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $149,000 – $248,300 annually

Responsibilities

• Act as the systems engineering architect for the company's ecosystem, guiding architecture and design decisions
• Define and govern system architectures, requirements, interfaces, and workflows for medical device systems
• Drive resolution of complex cross-functional initiatives related to connected product functionality
• Lead systems engineering efforts across concurrent commercial product launches while balancing technical and regulatory needs
• Develop and maintain system-level requirements aligned with product needs and risk controls

Qualifications

• Expert-level systems engineering knowledge with a proven record of architecting large-scale, connected software-enabled products
• Strong systems thinking with the ability to align business objectives and technical constraints into cohesive architectures
• Deep experience defining and managing requirements for software-intensive systems, including user workflows and data flows
• Strong architectural expertise across mobile applications, SDKs, cloud platforms, and security frameworks
• Proven success leading multiple high-visibility projects while coaching engineers and driving technical alignment
