Senior State Estimation Engineer

For our client, we are seeking a Senior State Estimation Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Manufacturing & Automotive space. This role will lead operational priorities where safety, quality, compliance, and execution discipline are central to success. You will collaborate with field leadership, support functions, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve accountability, service delivery, and operational consistency. The position offers the opportunity to influence operational scale, customer outcomes, and organizational performance within a manufacturing environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $170,600 – $261,300 annually

Responsibilities

• Drive the design and deployment of state estimation and sensor calibration solutions
• Lead complex projects from conception to onboard implementation, focusing on safety and scalability
• Champion innovation in self-calibration and fault tolerance for real-time systems
• Mentor engineers and enhance engineering practices within teams
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering groups to integrate essential capabilities into systems
• Influence technical roadmaps to align with strategic company objectives

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• 8-10+ years in developing and deploying real-time state estimation and sensor calibration systems
• Technical leader in sensor calibration and state estimation for safety-critical systems
• Proficient in C++ and Python, with hands-on experience in development and integration tools
• Strong communication and mentoring skills, influencing technical strategy
