Senior Storage Engineer

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Storage Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space. This role will lead technical work focused on secure, reliable systems and risk-aware execution. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen data-driven execution and help teams focus on the metrics that matter most within a healthcare environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $106,900 – $147,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise backup and recovery architectures
• Engineer scalable, resilient, and secure backup solutions across diverse environments
• Develop and maintain backup standards, recovery procedures, and operational documentation
• Lead the upgrades, migrations, and modernization of backup platforms
• Establish recovery service levels, objectives, and testing standards
• Design and implement cyber recovery strategies in collaboration with the DR team
• Provide technical leadership for backup and storage architecture initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of enterprise backup, storage, or data protection experience
• 5+ years experience with enterprise backup platforms such as IBM Storage Protect, Rubrik, and Commvault
• Experience designing and supporting large-scale enterprise backup environments
• Strong understanding of enterprise storage technologies and infrastructure
• Experience supporting VMware, Windows, Linux, and cloud platforms
• Experience with scripting and automation
