Senior Structural Engineer

Role Opportunity
An opportunity to join a growing local engineering consultant as a Senior Structural Engineer, delivering design engineering solutions across a range of mining and mineral processing projects. This role combines hands-on technical design with the leadership of a small structural team.

Qualifications & Skills

• Formal Civil/Structural Engineering qualifications that are recognised by Engineers Australia.
• 10+ years consultancy design experience
• Mining and minerals project background
• Strong SpaceGass experience
• Brownfields capital project experience
• Site inspection experience required
• Strong stakeholder management skills & able to guide junior engineers
• Strong understanding of industry guidelines
• Excellent communication and reporting skills

Duties & Responsibilities

• Deliver structural design for minerals and heavy industry projects, including mining structures, non-process infrastructure and associated facilities
• Prepare and review engineering calculations, technical reports, drawings and specifications
• Coordinate work packages with internal teams and external stakeholders
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers
• Contribute to design reviews, constructability assessments and risk management
• Support project delivery through all phases including concept, feasibility, detailed design and construction support
• Engage with clients to provide trusted technical advice and solutions
