Senior Structural Engineer

Role Description The Senior Structural Engineer will work full time on-site in Canada, providing technical leadership for structural design and analysis across a range of civil and infrastructure projects. Responsibilities include performing detailed structural calculations, developing and reviewing structural models, and ensuring designs comply with relevant codes and standards. The role involves preparing and checking engineering drawings and CAD models, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting project planning and execution. The Senior Structural Engineer will also mentor junior engineers, contribute to quality assurance, and assist in resolving structural issues during construction.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Structural Engineering and Civil Engineering, with experience in designing and reviewing structural systems.
• Candidates should possess advanced abilities in Structural Analysis and Calculations to evaluate loads, stresses, and overall structural performance.
• Candidates should possess proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for preparing, interpreting, and revising engineering drawings.
• Relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Demonstrated experience in leading structural design projects and coordinating with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.
• Familiarity with national and international design codes and standards, and a strong focus on safety and compliance.
• Effective communication, documentation, and teamwork skills, with the ability to guide and mentor junior team members.
• Professional licensure or eligibility for licensure is an advantage.
