Senior Structural Engineer

DRPILLA is currently seeking a full-time Senior Structural Engineer to join our Structural Practice. Candidates for the Senior Structural Engineer position should have experience in handling diverse projects, spanning cultural, residential, commercial buildings, healthcare, facility design, and tenant renovations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Coordination of project plans, design calculations, specifications and lead the coordination with other design disciplines as required to deliver high-quality engineering services.
• Attend meetings and site visits with clients as a representative of the firm.
• Lead site investigations to observe and document existing conditions and document structural deficiencies.
• Perform condition assessments, load ratings, schematic designs and prepare written reports to summarize the results of the investigation.
• Communicate with clients to understand project requirements.
• Plan and formulate engineering programs and organize project staff according to project requirements.
• Perform analysis and design of structural systems for all types of buildings and materials using various building codes.
• Manage project design and deliverables.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering; Master’s Degree a plus.
• 7+ years’ experience in Structural Engineering.
• NY PE required.
• Ability to manage projects, clients, delegate tasks, and provide guidance to technical staff.
• Understanding and application of code requirements.
• Experience in using various structural analysis software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and consistently meet deadlines.
• AutoCAD and Revit experience a plus.
