Senior Structural Engineer

• Role Description :

· Lead and manage the structural design scope of projects from concept through detailed design and construction stages, ensuring quality, integrity, and compliance with project specifications.

·  Prepare structural calculations, design drawings, and technical reports in compliance with applicable codes, standards, and local authority requirements.

· Coordinate with subconsultants, architectural, MEP, and infrastructure teams to integrate structural design seamlessly.

·  Review and approve structural drawings, calculation reports, and design deliverables.

· Represent the structural discipline in design review meetings, coordination workshops, and authority submissions.

· Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and intermediate structural engineers and check their deliverables.

·   Review geotechnical reports and define suitable foundation systems in coordination with soil conditions and project constraints.

· Participate in technical workshops, design reviews, and value engineering studies with clients, contractors, and authorities.

·    Respond to technical queries, RFIs, and design changes during design and construction phases.

·   Ensure quality control of all structural deliverables and compliance with company QA/QC procedures.

· Contribute to project planning, manpower allocation, and monitoring of design progress against schedules.

·   Facilitate communication and resolve technical issues between the client and design teams.

·  Assist in preparing technical proposals, design basis reports, and presentations to clients or stakeholders.

·    Monitor design progress, identify risks, and implement corrective measures to meet project milestones.

·    Transmit all design deliverables to the Abu Dhabi main office for final review and client submission.

o  Take reasonable care for personal health and safety, as well as that of others in the course of work.

o  Take precautions and avoid unnecessary risks while carrying out tasks.

o  Report any hazards or defects in the workplace, equipment, or tools that might endanger health and safety.

o  Notify management of any concerns related to health and safety within the work environment.

·     General Duties:

o  Perform other tasks assigned by the Project Manager in an orderly and efficient manner.

o  Assist with other duties as needed, ensuring effective support for the project team.

• Role Requirement :

. Experience :8+ Years of experience

• Strong knowledge of structural design codes and standards (international and local).

• Experience in coordinating multi-disciplinary design projects.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to review and approve complex structural design deliverables.

• Familiarity with structural software (ETABS, SAFE, STAAD, RAM, or similar) and BIM coordination.

• Experience in managing deliverable submission workflows between branch offices and main offices.

• Experience in managing subconsultants, multi-discipline coordination, and cross-office deliverable submission processes.
