We are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our team and lead projects from concept through construction.

Position Summary

The Senior Structural Engineer will manage multiple projects, lead structural design efforts, mentor junior staff, and maintain strong client relationships. The ideal candidate is a licensed New York Professional Engineer with extensive experience in building design, existing-building assessments, and project management.

Responsibilities

· Manage structural engineering projects from proposal through construction administration.

· Lead the preparation of structural plans, calculations, specifications, and reports.

· Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders.

· Attend client meetings and site visits as a representative of the firm.

· Perform field investigations to evaluate existing conditions and identify structural deficiencies.

· Conduct structural condition assessments, load ratings, and rehabilitation studies.

· Prepare written engineering reports and technical documentation.

· Perform structural analysis and design for a variety of building materials and systems.

· Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, standards, and client requirements.

· Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technical staff.

· Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.

QualificationsRequired

· Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.

· New York State Professional Engineer (PE) License.

· 10+ years of structural engineering experience.

· Experience designing steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structures.

· Strong understanding of NYC and New York State building codes.

· Experience managing clients and multidisciplinary project teams.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Preferred

· Master's Degree in Structural Engineering.

· Experience with AutoCAD and Revit.

· Experience with structural assessments, renovations, and rehabilitation projects.

· Familiarity with a variety of structural analysis software platforms.
