POSITION PURPOSE

The Senior Structural Engineer is responsible for leading the analysis, design, and coordination of structural systems for industrial, commercial, institutional, and infrastructure projects. The role involves providing technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle while ensuring that structural designs meet applicable codes, standards, client requirements, and project objectives.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the structural analysis and design of reinforced concrete, structural steel, masonry, and foundation systems.
• Prepare and review structural calculations, design reports, drawings, specifications, and bills of quantities.
• Develop conceptual, schematic, detailed, and construction-stage structural designs.
• Coordinate with architectural, civil, mechanical, electrical, and other disciplines for integrated project delivery.
• Conduct structural assessments, investigations, and feasibility studies for existing and proposed structures.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, and contractor queries and provide technical support during construction.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, local regulations, international standards, and quality management procedures.
• Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and quality reviews for junior engineers and designers.
• Support project planning through cost estimates, manpower forecasts, schedules, and technical proposals.
• Participate in site inspections, technical meetings, and construction monitoring activities.
• Perform seismic analysis, wind load analysis, foundation engineering, and other structural design activities as required.
• Support project handover and construction-related activities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver accurate and high-quality engineering outputs.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Must be a Licensed Civil Engineer.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in structural design.
• Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete, structural steel, foundation, and seismic design.
• Proficient in ETABS, SAFE, STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, or equivalent structural analysis software.
• Familiarity with NSCP, ACI, AISC, ASTM, ASCE, Eurocodes, and other applicable design standards.
• Experience in structural design calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
• Experience in seismic and wind load analysis and foundation engineering.
• Experience with industrial facilities, manufacturing plants, warehouses, cold storage, data centers, or commercial buildings is an advantage.
• Experience in BIM-based project delivery is an advantage.
• Membership in the Association of Structural Engineers of the Philippines (ASEP) is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong technical writing and report preparation skills.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
