Senior Superintendent – Multi-Family

📍 Location: Los Angeles, CA | San Diego, CA and surrounding cities

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent to oversee the construction of large-scale multi-family residential projects across the greater Los Angeles and San Diego markets. The Senior Superintendent will lead all on-site operations, manage subcontractors, enforce safety standards, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and direction for all on-site construction activities across multi-family projects
• Develop, manage, and maintain detailed project schedules; identify and resolve scheduling conflicts proactively
• Coordinate and supervise multiple subcontractors, trade partners, and self-perform crews
• Enforce strict quality control standards and ensure compliance with project specifications and drawings
• Lead daily and weekly subcontractor coordination meetings
• Maintain a safe worksite through rigorous OSHA compliance, site safety inspections, and incident reporting
• Collaborate closely with Project Manager and Owner representatives on project status, RFIs, and change orders
• Manage site logistics, material deliveries, and equipment planning
• Mentor and develop Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, and field staff
• Conduct punch list walks and oversee project closeout activities

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction experience with a minimum of 5 years as a Superintendent on multi-family residential projects (podium, wrap, garden-style, or high-density)
• Strong working knowledge of all trades including concrete, framing, MEP, finishes, and site work
• Proven ability to manage projects valued at $20M or greater
• Proficiency in project scheduling software (Procore, Primavera P6, or MS Project)
• Thorough understanding of OSHA regulations, Cal/OSHA requirements, and safety best practices
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• OSHA 30 certification required
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings
