Senior Superintendent

Job Summary
A&M is a 30 year full service construction management firm that specializes in the design-build of commercial, industrial, R&D, institutional and lab projects. Projects range from $250K to $5M across many different project markets including private and public.

We are seeking a detailed-oriented, senior-level Superintendent to join our design-build team. The Senior Superintendent functions as the point person for the project’s day-to-day field operations and steers the project forward. Principal areas of responsibility are overall project schedule and cost, subcontractor coordination and performance, safety protocol, and working closely with the Project Manager. Responsible for project organization and its functions from commencement of the pre-construction phase through completion of the construction and start-up phases.

Duties

• Leading day-to-day field operations and supervising subcontractors
• Enforcing safety protocols and conducting daily site safety walks
• Coordinating logistics, deliveries, and manpower on site
• Conducting subcontractor meetings, daily huddles, and maintaining project schedule
• Overseeing site setup, security, and cleanliness
• Managing documentation: daily reports, inspections, permits, RFIs, and as-builts
• Communicating effectively with owners, architects, engineers, and project teams
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of project strategy and commitments, including financial goals, scheduling, logistics, phasing, milestones, and inspections.
• Maintain an updated and accurate project schedule that reflects the changes in project status and that meets the cost and time requirements of the project.
• Demonstrate and maintain effective and open dialogue with the project team regarding changes in work, job conditions, subcontractor relations, and any deviation in the direction of the project.
• Always promotes positive relationships by dealing expertly and fairly with all subcontractors and vendors while instilling this philosophy in the project team.

Skills

• 3-5+ years as a Superintendent with a GC
• Open to any project types (lifescience, lab, healthcare, MEP) clean room experience is a plus
• OSHA 30 preferred
• Builders License (any state), Bachelors degree, Trade License - is a plus
• Software: Procore, MS Suite, Microsoft Project
• Strong knowledge of building systems, codes, and construction practices
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $125,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
