Senior Supervisor - Packaging Development, Regional Packaging Development

About the role

Senior Supervisor is an important member who drives assigned projects to be completed as agreed.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee development of qualification/validation protocols for new equipment & machine, packaging changes, and cost improvement projects
• Lead completion of trial, qualification and validation runs without coaching from supervisor
• Determine through demand generation and NPD, the performance and technical requirements of the packaging
• Select packaging materials and develop design specifications to meet product performance and technical requirements
• Identify with sourcing, material sources for final evaluation and selection
• Prepare technical drawings for all packaging materials in use
• Develop packaging specifications, packaging instructions and packing detail document
• Identify potential package suppliers and obtain mock ups and prototypes
• Facilitate decision on final packaging design with Marketing
• Obtain evaluation samples and conduct package runability / integrity / shipping tests

About you

• Bachelor of Science degree or higher in a scientific or technical discipline (Packaging Engineering, Printing Technology, or related)
• Good computer literacy: SAP, Microsoft Office
• Good command in English
• Proven experience in food manufacturing environment 3-5 years with a multi-national and culturally diverse organization
• Experience as key project team member in new product introduction and packaging development process
• Experience collaborating with various functional roles within Supply Chain, R&D and Marketing/Sales to develop strategies and execute action plans to resolve critical issues
• Demonstrated ability to analyse/interpret complex problems with data gathered from a variety of sources utilizing analytical tools that focus on problem prevention
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with external partners including suppliers, government laboratory and third-party manufacturers
