Senior Supervisor - ROM Production

Mansa Resources is seeking an experienced Senior Supervisor - ROM Production to lead the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the Run of Mine (ROM) area at Kouroussa Gold Mine (KGM), Guinea . Reporting to the Process Superintendent / Production Superintendent, the successful candidate will be responsible for ROM stockpile management, ore handling operations, mobile crushing activities, and the leadership and development of ROM production teams.

The role is critical to ensuring a continuous and stable ore feed to the processing plant while maintaining the highest standards of safety, operational performance, and environmental compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily and shift-based ROM receiving, stockpiling, reclaim, and crusher-feeding activities to ensure uninterrupted ore supply to the processing plant.
• Supervise the operation of the mobile crushing circuit, including jaw crusher, cone crusher, and screening modules located on the ROM pad.
• Implement approved ore blending strategies and feed priorities in close collaboration with Geology, Mining, and Processing teams.
• Monitor stockpile inventories, material segregation, housekeeping standards, and safe traffic management within the ROM area.
• Coordinate with the Maintenance team to ensure proactive maintenance activities are executed and respond effectively to equipment breakdowns.
• Align ROM operating plans with mining schedules, crusher availability, maintenance requirements, and plant throughput targets.
• Ensure compliance with site HSE standards, safe work procedures, risk assessments, and permit-to-work systems.
• Lead toolbox talks, workplace inspections, incident investigations, and corrective action implementation.
• Supervise, coach, and develop ROM supervisors and operators, while supporting workforce planning and competency development.
• Track operational performance indicators including tonnes handled, equipment utilization, crusher feed continuity, stockpile movements, and downtime.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, productivity, ore feed consistency, and operational efficiency.
• Prepare accurate daily and shift reports and communicate operational performance and production variances to management.

Profile

• Technical Diploma or Degree in Mineral Processing, Mining Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 to 10 years of experience in mining, ROM, ore handling, or processing operations, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong practical experience in ROM operations, stockpile management, ore blending, material handling, and mobile crushing systems.
• Good understanding of primary crushing operations and ore feed management within a gold processing environment.
• Demonstrated commitment to health, safety, environmental management, and operational excellence.
• Experience working within multicultural mining environments and managing operational teams.
• Strong planning, coordination, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent reporting and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
• Working proficiency in English is required; French language skills are considered an advantage.
• Valid driver's licence and ability to work on a remote mine site.
