Senior Support Software Engineer – Java/Spring Boot

Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Support Software Engineer with strong experience in technical/application support and backend development. The role will focus on troubleshooting and resolving application issues, implementing fixes and enhancements, supporting AWS environments, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure system stability and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve technical support issues and tickets.
• Diagnose system, application, and integration issues and escalate complex concerns when necessary.
• Implement bug fixes and minor feature enhancements using Java/Spring Boot.
• Participate in code reviews, QA testing, deployments, and release verification.
• Monitor and support AWS infrastructure to help maintain application uptime.
• Maintain technical documentation, user guides, and internal knowledge base articles.
• Communicate technical solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with development, support, and other cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
• Support automation and AI-enabled initiatives that improve support team efficiency.
• Take ownership of assigned issues and ensure proper documentation and follow-through.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in technical support, application support, or software engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot or similar backend frameworks.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud environments.
• Familiarity with AWS is preferred.
• Experience using ticketing tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, Odoo, or similar platforms.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
• Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with SAP SuccessFactors or other HCM platforms.
• Knowledge of event-driven architecture or middleware integrations.
• Exposure to React, SAP UI5, or other frontend frameworks.
• Experience integrating AI/ML APIs or automation tools.
