Key Responsibilities

● Lead on the Floor: Model compassionate, person-centred care, coordinating day-today shift patterns to ensure seamless continuity of service delivery.

● Mentor & Supervise: Support the Location Manager by inducting new team members, conducting structured supervisions, and fostering a collaborative, high-accountability team culture.

● Champion Compliance: Monitor support plans, risk assessments, and daily records while ensuring strict adherence to CQC standards, GDPR, and the Mental Capacity Act (MCA) 2005.

● Empower Independence: Oversee daily living support for individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs, utilizing proactive, positive approaches.

● Safe Escalation: Act as a vital bridge between support staff, families, and management, handling initial operational escalations and promoting robust health, safety, and safeguarding practices.

Experience

• Proven background as a Support Worker in health & social care.
• Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs.
• Demonstrable leadership or mentoring capabilities.
• Previous formal experience as a Senior Support Worker or Team Leader.
• Experience conducting staff supervisions and shift handovers.

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of CQC regulations, safeguarding, and GDPR.
• Working knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act (MCA) 2005.
• Strong grasp of health, safety, and infection control principles.
• Practical knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS).
• Familiarity with social care auditing and quality assurance.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent or actively working towards it).
• Completed Care Certificate.
• Level 3 Leadership qualification or a willingness to undertake one.
