Senior Sustaining Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Sustaining Engineer to join our team to ensure product reliability and operational continuity across our power electronics product portfolio. In this role, you will lead complex product failure analyses, drive root-cause investigations for design-related issues, manage engineering change processes (ECR/ECN), and deliver hands-on technical support to production teams.

Duties and Responsibilities: -
As the leader of the Senior Sustaining Engineer, your core responsibilities will include:

• Failure Analysis & Root Cause Investigation: Lead end-to-end failure analysis for product issues (especially design-related root causes) using advanced diagnostic tools and methodology. Provide comprehensive technical support to production.
• Technical Documentation: Draft detailed, structured failure analysis (FA) reports to establish baseline evidence for subsequent product and design improvements.
• Engineering Change Management (ECR/ECN): Author, execute, and track ECR/ECN workflows. Coordinate across cross-functional teams to ensure design changes are implemented seamlessly within schedule without impacting production timelines.
• Issue Tracking & Resolution: Maintain and update the issue tracking system, systematically managing open technical issues through to full verification and closure.

Job Requirements & Qualifications: -

• Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience:

  • 3-5+ years of work experience in the switching power supply or electronics industry.
  • Direct experience in switching power supply R&D is strongly preferred.

• Technical Knowledge:

  • Solid theoretical foundation in power electronics.
  • Deep familiarity with common power supply topologies, including Boost, Buck, Flyback, LLC, and Phase-Shifted Full Bridge circuits.
  • Thorough understanding of power supply safety requirements and in-depth working knowledge of EMI/EMC behavior and mitigation.

• Tools & Equipment:

  • Hands-on proficiency with common testing equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power analyzers) and EDA tools (e.g., Cadence).
