Senior System Administrator (Linux & Infrastructure, over $60K)

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure high system availability and compliance with established service level requirements.
• Provide ongoing system support, maintenance, troubleshooting, and enhancement services.
• Participate in system implementation, upgrade, and quality assurance activities.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams, external vendors, and contractors to deliver and maintain support services.
• Identify operational and technical requirements and prepare technical specifications for the procurement of hardware, software, and maintenance services.
• Monitor system performance and recommend improvements to enhance reliability, security, and efficiency.
• Support IT security initiatives and ensure compliance with organizational standards and policies.
• Assist in managing outsourced support services and coordinating issue resolution.

Requirements

• Higher Diploma, Associate Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or above in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

• Minimum 4 years of post-qualification IT experience, including at least 1 year of hands-on experience in system implementation projects.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the following areas:

  • IT Security
  • Linux System Administration
  • Network Design and Administration
  • Storage Area Network (SAN)
  • Server Virtualization Technologies

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills.

• Experience in supporting large-scale and mission-critical IT systems is highly desirable.

• Proven experience in managing outsourced system support operations and vendor coordination is preferred.
