Senior System Engineer

1. Managing and monitoring all installed IT systems and infrastructure of the Ministry.

2. Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools.

3. Engaging in quality control procedures to ensure that systems are efficient and operational.

4. Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes.

5. Participate in the design of information and operational support systems.

6. Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.

7. Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.

8. Troubleshooting and resolving all technical issues when they arise and providing specialist 2nd and 3rd level support for identified system issues.

9. Conduct high-level root-cause analysis for service interruption and establish preventive measures.

10. Create reports and documentation outlining findings and solutions.

11. Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks.

12. Perform the tasks with a slight degree of discretion in addressing the issues within the limits of the approved laws, regulations and plans, and the work is subjected to a close review by the direct manager or the occupants of higher positions.

13. Carry out some communications for exchanging some data and information.

14.Performs other similar tasks assigned.

15.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or any other related field. 16.Minimum 5 years of experience in IT systems administration and management.

17. Proven working experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows based environments and virtual systems.

18.Technical certifications from CISCO, Microsoft, Oracle or equivalent.
