Senior System Network Administrator

Responsibilities:

• Security infrastructure: Design, deploy and maintain security tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, antivirus, endpoint protection), manage their configurations and policies, and monitor their health.
• Threat detection and response: Fine-tune threat detection and monitoring, investigate incidents and run root-cause analysis, lead incident response, and support threat hunting.
• Vulnerability management: Run vulnerability assessments, penetration tests and security scans, and work with IT to ensure timely patching and secure configurations.
• Network and cloud security: Secure on-premises, Azure and Google Cloud environments through network segmentation, access control and encryption of data in transit and at rest.
• Automation and DevSecOps: Work with engineering teams to embed security into development and deployment workflows.
• Documentation and compliance: Maintain security documentation and incident response plans, support compliance with frameworks such as NIST and ISO 27001, and provide technical input during audits.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Relevant hands-on experience in cybersecurity engineering, with strong expertise in technical security domains.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, OSCP, GIAC) are preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of network protocols, firewall configurations, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection technologies.
• Experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, ELK Stack), vulnerability scanning tools, and EDR solutions.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of secure software development practices.
• Experience with identity and access management (IAM), multi-factor authentication (MFA), and single sign-on (SSO) solutions.
• Familiarity with compliance standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
