We are seeking highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems & Cloud Engineers with strong presales, solution architecture, implementation, and technical leadership capabilities to strengthen our Systems & Cloud Engineering operations.

Position Summary

The Senior Systems & Cloud Engineer will be responsible for managing the technical solution lifecycle, with a primary focus on customer requirements gathering, technical presales, solution architecture, product selection, technical proposal preparation, and solution design, followed by implementation, commissioning, and support.

The successful candidate must have strong hands-on experience with enterprise computing, servers, storage, virtualization, backup, cloud platforms, and related technologies, with particular preference for HPE and Oracle enterprise solutions.

The position also requires the ability to work independently, lead technical activities, mentor junior engineers, coordinate with OEMs and distributors, and contribute to the successful delivery of enterprise technology projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Presales & Customer Requirements Analysis

* Engage directly with customers to understand their business objectives, technical challenges, infrastructure requirements, and future expansion plans.

* Conduct technical consultations, discovery meetings, site surveys, and infrastructure assessments.

* Analyze customer requests for proposals (RFPs), requests for quotations (RFQs), tenders, and technical specifications.

* Translate customer requirements into appropriate technical architectures and solutions.

* Identify suitable technologies, OEM products, hardware configurations, software licenses, and support services that meet customer requirements.

* Prepare technical compliance statements, solution descriptions, clarification responses, and technical proposals.

* Participate in customer technical meetings, solution demonstrations, presentations, and proof-of-concept activities.

* Collaborate with Marketing & Business Development, Procurement, Project Management, and other engineering teams throughout the presales process.

* Ensure proposed solutions are technically compliant, cost-effective, scalable, secure, and commercially competitive.

2. Solution Architecture, Design & Technical Documentation

* Design enterprise systems, computing infrastructure, storage, virtualization, backup, disaster recovery, and cloud solutions.

* Prepare high-level designs (HLD), low-level designs (LLD), technical architecture diagrams, and solution specifications.

* Develop accurate and comprehensive Bills of Materials (BoM) and Bills of Quantities (BoQ) for proposed solutions.

* Select and validate hardware, software, licensing, subscriptions, support services, and accessories required for complete solutions.

* Ensure compatibility and interoperability among servers, storage systems, hypervisors, operating systems, databases, networking, and backup platforms.

* Perform solution sizing, capacity planning, workload analysis, availability assessments, and performance calculations.

* Review OEM reference architectures, technical documentation, product lifecycle status, and configuration guidelines.

* Validate solution designs against customer specifications, industry standards, vendor best practices, and project budgets.

* Prepare technical implementation plans, migration strategies, test procedures, and acceptance criteria.

3. HPE & Enterprise Computing Solutions

Strong hands-on knowledge of HPE enterprise technologies is highly preferred, including:

* HPE ProLiant and HPE Compute platforms.

* HPE Synergy and enterprise composable infrastructure concepts.

* HPE Alletra, MSA, and other enterprise storage solutions.

* HPE GreenLake and hybrid cloud infrastructure.

* HPE OneView, iLO, and related infrastructure management tools.

* HPE StoreOnce and enterprise backup infrastructure.

* HPE infrastructure sizing, configuration, solution design, and integration.

* HPE partner configuration tools, product selection, technical validation, and BoM preparation.

Candidates should be capable of independently developing complete HPE-based enterprise solutions, including hardware, storage, software, licensing, implementation services, and support requirements.

4. Oracle Systems & Enterprise Solutions

Practical knowledge of Oracle technologies and enterprise solutions is highly desirable, including:

* Oracle Database infrastructure and deployment requirements.

* Oracle Linux and Oracle Virtualization technologies.

* Oracle VM and Oracle Linux KVM environments, including relevant migration considerations.

* Oracle Database Appliance (ODA).

* Oracle Exadata and engineered systems concepts.

* Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

* Oracle infrastructure sizing, architecture, licensing considerations, and technical integration.

* Oracle-related storage, backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability requirements.

Candidates with experience designing and implementing infrastructure for Oracle workloads, particularly in banking, government, and enterprise environments, will be given strong consideration.

5. Virtualization, VDI & Hyperconverged Infrastructure

* Design, deploy, configure, and manage enterprise virtualization platforms.

* Work with VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV, Oracle Linux KVM, or equivalent technologies.

* Develop virtualization architectures covering compute, storage, networking, high availability, and disaster recovery.

* Design and implement Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solutions.

* Work with VMware Horizon/Omnissa Horizon, Citrix, Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop, or equivalent VDI platforms.

* Perform virtual machine migration, infrastructure consolidation, capacity planning, and performance optimization.

* Design and support hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) solutions.

* Evaluate virtualization licensing, platform compatibility, and workload migration requirements.

6. Cloud Computing & Infrastructure Services

Demonstrate strong understanding and practical experience with:

Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)

* Virtual compute, storage, networking, and infrastructure provisioning.

* Private and hybrid cloud infrastructure.

* Cloud resource management, monitoring, and automation.

Platform as a Service (PaaS)

* Enterprise application hosting environments.

* Managed database and application platforms.

* Containerization and orchestration concepts, including Docker and Kubernetes.

Private & Hybrid Cloud

* Private cloud architecture and infrastructure design.

* HPE GreenLake, Nutanix Cloud Platform, VMware-based cloud platforms, OpenStack, or equivalent solutions.

* Cloud integration, migration, workload portability, and hybrid connectivity.

* Cloud security, availability, backup, and disaster recovery.

Candidates should understand cloud service models and be capable of recommending appropriate infrastructure architectures based on customer requirements.

7. Storage, Backup & Disaster Recovery

* Design and implement enterprise SAN, NAS, and software-defined storage solutions.

* Configure storage provisioning, replication, snapshots, and high-availability features.

* Design backup, restoration, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.

* Work with technologies such as Veeam, Commvault, HPE StoreOnce, and equivalent enterprise platforms.

* Develop backup policies, recovery strategies, and retention requirements.

* Conduct recovery testing, disaster recovery exercises, and performance validation.

* Ensure proposed solutions meet customer RPO, RTO, capacity, security, and availability requirements.

8. OEM Partner Portals & Vendor Coordination

* Manage technical activities through relevant OEM and distributor partner portals.

* Perform product selection, configuration, compatibility checks, and technical BoM generation.

* Coordinate with OEM presales engineers, solution architects, product specialists, and distributors.

* Request and validate technical configurations, product specifications, support options, and licensing requirements.

* Track product updates, lifecycle changes, certifications, and new technology releases.

* Support partner competency development and technical certification requirements.

* Maintain strong professional relationships with OEM technical teams and technology partners.

9. Implementation, Onsite Engineering & Technical Support

* Lead and participate in installation, configuration, integration, migration, testing, and commissioning activities.

* Perform onsite technical assessments and implementation work at customer locations.

* Configure servers, storage, virtualization platforms, operating systems, backup systems, and cloud infrastructure.

* Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and provide advanced technical escalation support.

* Coordinate technical activities with project managers, customers, OEMs, and other engineering teams.

* Prepare installation reports, configuration documents, as-built designs, testing records, and acceptance documents.

* Conduct customer training and technical knowledge-transfer sessions.

* Support project closure, customer acceptance, warranty coordination, and post-implementation services.

* Ensure timely completion of technical deliverables that support project invoicing and payment collection.

10. Technical Leadership & Team Development

* Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.

* Lead technical assignments and coordinate engineering resources for assigned projects.

* Review technical designs, BoMs, implementation plans, and engineering documentation prepared by team members.

* Support the development of technical standards, templates, knowledge bases, and best practices.

* Identify technical training needs and support certification development.

* Promote teamwork, accountability, continuous learning, and knowledge sharing.

* Demonstrate the capability to assume technical team leadership responsibilities as the department grows.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree in one of the following or a closely related field:

* Computer Engineering

* Computer Science

* Information Technology

* Electrical Engineering

* Communications Engineering

Professional Experience

* Minimum 7 years of relevant professional experience in enterprise systems, cloud computing, infrastructure engineering, or systems integration.

* Demonstrated experience in technical presales, solution architecture, and enterprise infrastructure design.

* Strong hands-on experience with server, storage, virtualization, backup, and cloud technologies.

* Proven experience preparing technical proposals, BoMs, BoQs, compliance statements, and architecture documentation.

* Experience in enterprise infrastructure implementation, migration, commissioning, and technical support.

* Experience working with international OEMs, distributors, and enterprise customers.

* Prior experience with systems integrators, enterprise technology solution providers, or ICT infrastructure companies is strongly preferred.

* Experience coordinating engineering teams or leading technical assignments is an advantage.

Preferred Professional Certifications

Relevant certifications from one or more of the following technology vendors:

* HPE: HPE Accredited Technical Professional (ATP)

* Oracle: Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Oracle Linux, Oracle Database, or relevant Oracle infrastructure certifications.

* VMware: VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or equivalent.

* Microsoft: Azure Administrator, Windows Server, or related certifications.

* Backup & Storage: Veeam, Commvault, or relevant storage and data protection certifications.

Candidates are not required to hold all certifications. Relevant practical experience and demonstrated technical competence will be strongly considered.**
