(Senior) Systems Engineer

Visage Imaging, Inc. is looking for (Senior) Systems Engineers, working virtually on the West Coast, or at Visage Imaging’s North America Headquarters in San Diego, CA, with the industry’s fastest, most powerful Enterprise Imaging Platform: Visage 7.

As a (Senior) Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for installing and performing initial configuration of Visage 7 software, implementing solutions at customer sites, as well as providing IT training and ongoing customer support to healthcare institutions in North America.

The (Senior) Systems Engineer

• Installs, configures and supports Visage Imaging products, both remotely and at customer facilities.
• Configures DICOM and HL7 interfaces, and integrations with 3rd party products, as defined in each project scope.
• Presents technical status updates to the project team.
• Answers telephone "hotline" and written or internet-based inquiries from customers.
• Responds to detailed customer inquiries concerning system installation and operation, problem diagnosis and resolution, systems software and applications.
• Isolates and analyzes hardware and software problems working with customers and reports findings to appropriate personnel to rectify.
• Recommends solutions to customer application questions, including software and hardware workarounds.
• Maintains log of problems so that recurring problems can be reported to product development.
• Provides follow-up support in disseminating technical information on specific applications.
• Trains, both remotely and at customer facilities, customers' Level 1 and Level 2 support resources on the use and support of Visage Imaging products.
• Works with the Visage Customer Service team to define and document detailed system requirements.

Experience Required

• Degreed in a technical or scientific subject or equivalent qualification.
• Preferred, 5+ years in healthcare informatics, or related, experience (10+ years required for Senior).
• Experience in one or more of the following areas: Administration Linux, Windows Server, SQL Server, networks, DICOM / HL7, medical imaging, software development, scripting languages (perl, php, bash, etc.).
• Ability to understand some of the architectural aspects of the company’s products.
• Good command of the English language, both written and verbal. Other languages are a plus.

Expected Travel

• Travel is a normal part of the position, with up to 20% of your work days spent traveling.
