Senior Systems Engineer

Type: Full-Time

Location: Huntsville, AL

Position Description:

This role will support a priority national defense program in a dynamic environment. They will provide technical, engineering, and advisory expertise to the LRHW Lead Systems Engineer. They will provide systems engineering expertise and knowledge. They will identify, analyze, and document system design, interface, and validation and verification requirements. They will development and update all necessary systems engineering documentation to support engineering, integration, test and programmatic activities of a major missile system. They will lead or support technical interchange meetings (TIMs) action tracking, and meeting coordination. 15% travel is possible.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field
• 9 years of experience in systems engineering or related work
• Working knowledge of design, interface, and validation/verification requirements from a systems engineering perspective
• Familiarity with Army missile and weapon system components, interfaces, and performance
• Ability to present complex information and concepts to leads
• Ability to work independently within a fast-paced environment
• Active Secret security clearance; ability to obtain/maintain Top Secret security clearance as required

Desired Experience

• Master’s degree in a STEM field
• 12 years of experience in systems engineering or related work
• Experience in Army weapon system product office
