Senior Systems Software Engineer, Containers and Kubernetes

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Systems Software Engineer, Containers and Kubernetes to join the team of a leader in the Telecommunications & Hardware space.

This role will focus on advancing container-native infrastructure that enables accelerated computing in modern cloud environments. You will help make GPUs first-class resources within orchestration platforms while supporting software integration across engineering teams. The position blends systems-level software development, distributed systems design, and cloud-native execution in a highly collaborative environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $184,000 – $356,500 annually

Responsibilities

• Advance container-native infrastructure that supports accelerated application development
• Enable GPUs as first-class resources within container orchestration systems such as Kubernetes
• Work on cloud-native technologies supporting accelerator integration in Kubernetes environments
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure seamless software integration
• Manage multiple concurrent initiatives to address evolving priorities

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of relevant work experience
• Expert knowledge of a systems programming language such as Go or C
• Strong understanding of container orchestration systems such as Kubernetes
• Experience with Linux system internals
• Background in cloud computing and distributed software design
• Understanding of performance, security, and reliability in distributed systems
