Senior Tax Manager

General Duties Detailed Duties Provides comments/opinions in respect of the tax implications of strategic business decisions.

Represents the SM Group in public hearings of the Committee on Ways and Means of the Philippine Senate and Congress.

Attends public hearings of proposed local tax ordinances.

Reviews position papers filed in respect of national and local legislation that will impact the SM Group and, if needed, recommends areas of concern that will be outsourced to external consultants.

Formulate, propose and generate tax planning opportunities for any business unit of the SM Group

Prepare requests for opinions/rulings from the Bureau of Internal Revenue and the Bureau of Local Government and Finance concerning the interpretation of tax laws and issuances, the local government code and its implementing regulations, local tax ordinances, rules and regulations on local taxes, and liaise with the BIR/BLGF to secure favorable opinions/rulings.

Professional Eligibility Preferably CPA Lawyer

Skills Proficient in Microsoft Office, attention to detail, hardworking, efficient and effective, reliable.

Education Graduate of BS Accountancy and/or Law

Experience At least 6 years
